Biographical / Historical

Frankie Roberto is a digital designer and technologist based in London and a theme park enthusiast and researcher.

As a child he regularly visited Chessington World of Adventures, Alton Towers and Thorpe Park, fascinated by both the rides and the theming and design of the parks. His collection started with the free park maps given out and expanded to include other forms of ephemera, including guide books and badges. Of particular interest is the rich history of Alton Towers, depicting its transformation from pleasure gardens to a modern leisure resort.

Frankie continues to visit theme parks with his daughter.
