Biography
Ron White was a Scottish fairground enthusiast, photographer and writer. His career led him to work and live at Lytham St. Anne's in Lancashire.
Ron wrote various articles for the Fairground Mercury on Ayrshire showmen such as the Lawrence and Bastable families. His photograph collection includes early colour images of Lancashire gala fairs taken whilst Ron lived in Blackpool.
As a fairground enthusiast he built up a collection of photographs of fairground equipment in Scotland and the North West of England, which were eventually donated to the National Fairground and Circus Archive by his widow.
