Reporting to Senate, the Academic Staff Advisory Committee was established by the Policy Committee on the 14th of December 1974. The working party would recommend the reallocation of academic posts whether they were new or frozen. Posts were placed in categories of high, medium and low priority giving an overall objective view of the University's needs. The committee disbanded in August 1983.
