Handwritten book titled in pencil 'A Treasury of pen and pencil memorials of absent friends', with note above 'Mary Anne Read, Wincobank'.
The volume consists of contributions from friends and acquaintances of Mary Anne Read, in prose, verse or quotation. There are handwritten notes and directions in her hand, as well as several sketches. James Montgomery contributes a four-page poem: 'A Fable', beginning 'A Star would be a Flower; So down from heaven it came…'.
