Biography
The actress and poet Eve Pearce was born in Aberdeen in 1929. She began her career in the early 60s, with one of her earliest television appearances being in ‘Z Cars’ in 1962, and went on to have a successful career on stage and screen throughout the following decades, up to the 2010s. She was married to screenwriter and author Keith Dewhurst from 1958 to 1980, and they had three children together. Eve died 13 January 2023.

Letters, notes and postcards from Keith to Eve Pearce, his first wife, throughout their relationship. The first 25 letters and notes are all from Keith to Eve between September to December 1956, apart from one letter dated 31 Dec 1956, written by Eve but not sent. The letters include arrangements for plans to meet, as well as discussions about the possibility of Eve’s divorce.The remaining letters cover the period from 1958 to 1987, throughout their marriage and later divorce....
