Lord John Sanger and Sons' Circus, featuring animals, carriages, workers and performers as well as Lord George Sanger on transit, parading and on circus site, contains some pen and ink drawins, photograph of Augustus Denton on front cover painting the circus, 12p.p.

Colour slides taken at Kirkaldy Fair by George McIndoe as inserts to a documentary on Scottish fairgrounds. Most of the images cover the arrival and build up of the rides, trucks and wagons and some show fairground families, including Testo, Biddall and Wilmot's. There are also photographs of the opening ceremony with the Lord Mayor and other dignitaries and members of the Showman's Guild as well as Carl Pinder's with his clown face painting both and a series of the fair at night.

This collection contains posters, programmes, letters, film, business records and a large number of family and circus photographs. This unique family collection charts the history of the Smart family from their beginnings as fairground showmen to presenting one of the greatest British circuses.
