Biographical / Historical
David Crowther was a Staff Tutor in Extramural Studies (Philosophy) at The University of Sheffield.
He joined the Philosophy Department in 1928, and died shortly before his planned retirement, on 10 January 1963. He was also a W.E.A. Tutor. On his death, a memorial fund to be devoted to a biennial lecture in his name, in the field of philosophy, psychology or some other appropriate field, was established.
