Miscellaneous collection of material collated by Blunkett relating to his work as a councillor and leader of Sheffield Council. Includes the following publications: 'Sheffield, City on the Move, early 1970s, and 'City of Sheffield', late 1970s, pamphlets publicising Sheffield as a modern city; 'South Yorkshire Official County Guide', 1970s; 'Personal Social Services in Sheffield: a socialist approach' with a foreword written by Blunkett, 1978 (2 copies); 'The future of England's 4th largest city Sheffield', c.1978; 'Services in Sheffield: a guide to policy 1984-1985'; 'Whose value? Whose Money? How to assess the real value of council services' (LGIU, 1986); 'Sheffield City Council Urban Programme 1986-1989', annual submission, February 1986 and Lower Don Valley supplement, March 1986; 'Sheffield: working it out - an outline employment plan for Sheffield' (Sheffield City Council, 1987); and leaflets detailing council rates in Sheffield for 1986-7.

Also includes: typescript paper by Blunkett 'Alternative economic policies: a socialist local government response', c.1980; constituency profile of Sheffield Brightside compiled from 1981 census data; papers concerning South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Committee, 1980-1982; and message from David Blunkett to the people of Sheffield concerning rate capping.
