Scope and Contents
Mainly contains correspondence between Blunkett and individual Labour Party members and with representatives of Constituency Labour Parties (CLPs), concerning the government's education policies, but also includes correspondence with members of the public who are not Labour members. Also includes letters answered directly by Blunkett's special advisers within the DfEE. Includes correspondence concerning the introduction of specialist schools, controversy over Alastair Campbell's description of comprehensive schools as 'bog standard' and Blunkett's views on grammar schools/selection.
