Scope and Contents
Correspondence with MPs, ministers and organisations on a wide variety of subjects of both national and local importance, mainly dating from 2011. Includes: Blunkett's continued use of a government car and security as revealed in a Freedom of Information request, 2008; submission to the Committee on Standards in Public Life, April 2009; letter from Thomas Legg QC to Blunkett concerning ACA payments made to Blunkett, December 2009; letter from Blunkett to Ed Miliband, Leader of the Labour Party, concerning the direction of the party, October 2011; to the Clerk of the House concerning Blunkett's vote not being registered in a parliamentary vote in April 2011 due to the fact he exited the No Lobby before the tellers were in place; and correspondence with Mark Thompson, Director-General of the BBC concerning an edition of the programme 'Peston and the Money Men' which dealt with the controversy surrounding Blunkett's resignation as Home Secretary in 2004.
