Scope and Contents
Artist: Thomas Rowlandson. Published: Rowlandson, Adelphi. A hand-coloured print of John Mac-cree lying, dying in bed as he utters his last will and testament. Mac-cree wears a tartan cap as a gathering of five stand around his bed. A man wearing tartan kneels by Mac-cree. Pitt stands at the foot of the bed with Meville and Trotter close by. Two bags marked 'brass' stand by the bed and a bow and basket of Madeira on the left. Inscribed in the plate: 'Pubd 28th April 1805 by T Rowlandson Adelphi'.
