Scope and Contents
Published: S. W. Fores. Fox sits on the ground, full-face, his fingers together, scowling disconsolately. He holds the staff of liberty, broken, with a tattered cap of 'Liberty' inscribed 'Sedition \ Equality \ Rebell[ion]' about to fall from it. Flames rise on both sides inscribed: (left) 'A People rouz'd', and (right) 'Popular Resentment'. Beneath the title is etched:
'Ubi lapsus Quid feci?
Such place eternal justice has prepar'd
For those rebellious------
Vide Milton's Paradise Lost'
