Diary, 1 January 1907 - 31 December 1907

Item — Box: Norwood Papers Box 17
Reference code: 230/11/2/3

Scope and Contents

Entries cover Samuel Norwood's life in Canada doing work for the Salvation Army and his persistent but unsuccessful attempts to find employment as a teacher, and continued contacts with the Hoborough family. There is a gap from 13 August to 15 September, during which time he returned to England, and on 16 September took lodgings in Lower Clapton, London, where he continued working for the Salvation Army. There are contacts with Cyril throughout the year (for example, they met on 22 December), but by the end of the year he is very ill with what seems to be serious digestive problem and is unable to make his daily entries.
