Scope and Contents
Letter from Sir Arthur W. Pickard-Cambridge, Chairman of the Governors, Stowe School, to Norwood. Pickard-Cambridge, when Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sheffield, had been a member of the Secondary School Examinations Council when the report "The School Certificate Examination" was issued in 1932 under Norwood's chairmanship, and also presented evidence to the S.S.E.C. Committee which produced "Curriculum and Examinations in Secondary Schools" ("the Norwood report") in 1943. He was also a Governor of Harrow School, and other public schools, between the wars.
