  • Existence: 1804 - 1854

Biography

Born in Dublin, her maiden name was Huddart. Her theatrical life began on the South West scene, with Plymouth, Exeter and Bristol regularly accommodating her. She was a leading lady with William Charles Macready at Drury Lane, where she met a Mr Warner, who was a landlord. She married him in 1836 and took to management soon after at the Marylebone Theatre on Church Street, London. Her tenure was deemed a failure and only lasted a year. Her acting ability drew greater applause, particularly for her role of ‘Imogen’.
