Biography
Laci Endresz Jr. aka Mooky the Clown was born in 1974 in Eastbourne, England to Laci Endresz Sr. a seven-generation circus performer from Hungary, and the original Mooky the Clown, and Mareen Roberts from the Robert Brothers family circus.
Mooky was trained in a variety of performances from a young age including acrobatics, juggling, music and clowning and made his debut as a clown at the age of four.
In 1985 he won a bronze medal as a juggler at the Cirque de Demain Festival in Paris and two years later he performed at the 12th International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo juggling with his sister Kate and brother-in-law András Banláki.
The Endresz family have been involved with the Blackpool Tower Circus since 1992, when Laci Endresz Sr. became its Director, following Peter Jay’s departure from the role. Laci Endresz Jr. only took on the role of Mooky when his father retired from performing in 1999 and has been performing as Blackpool Tower’s resident clown since and has been elected twice Best Clown in Great Britain by the British Circus Friends Association.
