Forrest Smyth Scott, jointly responsible with Hamer for the Scott-Hamer Manuscripts on Anglo-Saxon cross fragments of the Sheffield area, was Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in the Department of English Language before becoming Professor at Auckland University.
