Biography

The Prince of Wales Theatre is a Grade II listed venue first established in 1884 in the West End, London. At its inception, it was named the Prince’s Theatre, only to change the name to Prince of Wales in 1886. The Prince of Wales has been offering a programme of comedy, dramas, musicals and variety shows ever since, although it was demolished in mid-1930s to incorporate a larger stage, seating area and newer facilities, to match the audience taste at the time. It reopened in 1937 and continued hosting shows until 2004, when it was refurbished to increase its capacity once again and modernise its interior and facilities.
