Biography
The Duke of York's Theatre is a variety theatre in St Martin's Lane, in the City of Westminster, London. It was established in 1892 as the Trafalgar Square Theatre and renamed The Trafalgar Theatre two years later, followed by Duke of York in 1895.
The theatre was Grade II listed in September 1960. In the late 1970s the freehold of the theatre was bought by Capital Radio and in 1992 by The Ambassador Theatre Group, which turned it into their headquarters.
