Biography

The Stockport Electric Theatre was opened on 12th October 1910 in Stockport, Greater Manchester, England. The Electric Theatre was the first purpose built cinema in the Stockport. A year after opening it was reneamed Cinema Theatre.

In 1921, the cinema was closed for refurbishment and reopened as the Super Cinema, which continued operating until 1965 when it closed after years of decline. The building was demolished two years later.
